Denis Urubko, year 73, comes from Kazakhstan where he began his adventure with high mountains. He was an officer in the Kazakh army and a filmmaker. However, the world will remember him as an outstanding climber, who can boast of winning the Crown of the Himalayas (15 men in history), getting 3 eight-thousanders in winter and the title of Snow Panther. In 2009, together with Simone Moro, he won Makalu - one of the harder peaks to win in the winter. In the same year, together with Boris Dedeszko, he took the Golden Chest to mark a new road on the south-eastern wall of ChoOyu.
